The City of Edmonton "Winter Light Festival" has once again asked us to join in with the STAR PARTY at Elk Island Park east of Edmonton.
The event takes place on Saturday March 6th in the afternoon and weather permiting, in the evening also.
Last year we lit up some kites for the night session and it was lots of fun. So get a few glow sticks and come on out! (park entrance is free for the event)

All lights must be red in color on kites and people to prevent interference with the people watching the stars.

Well, the wind was too light, so just checked out some of the telescopes and the stars, some were huge.
Here is a pic I took as the northern lights showed up.
